Knife Going With an Allergy to Vodka

This is just one of the many videos I took during the concert. Man, paying a ridiculous amount of money for a fancy camcorder definitely paid off. I'm sure I'll have many more videos to post here. The concert was just THAT good!

Tegan & Sara + Manchester = AMAZING

I'm back from Manchester. I literally can't describe how much fun we had, or how fantastic Tegan and Sara were. They have to have the most amazing stage presence of any band, ever. They were funny, they were charming, they were so beautiful they made your eyes hurt.

Four hours on a bus was well worth the numb backside for the experience me and my friends had. Plus we showed the women in Manchester exactly how to party.

Oh, and it was worth carrying my camcorder around all night just to video the show.

This obviously means there will be YouTube videos to follow.
I slept for 16 hours when we got back.
Tired was not the word.

Unintelligible

Disclaimer: This post is completely pointless I'm afraid.

I have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
7:30 on a Saturday morning, goodness, that is just insane.

Nevermind, it's only because I'm going to Manchester to see Tegan and Sara tomorrow night.

OHHOWEXCITINGICOULDJUSTSCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

24 Heading For 42

I'm only 24, but I don't think I can play out on school nights anymore. My friend had a house party which resulted in six tipsy girls heading to the club that sells drinks at £1.50 a go at 12:30am. We left at 4:30am, I crawled into bed at 5am.

Even though I didn't have to be at work until 3pm this afternoon, I still hadn't recovered from the night before by time I'd arrived.

I think it's fair to say I'm not 18 anymore. Save the partying for the weekend. Week nights are for Pj's and fluffy slippers.

Amen.

Take You Back Tuesday #2

Unfortunately, this is a song I remember too well. It reminds me of my older brother, my Nana W, my cousins and winter, well, the kind of winter we used to have in England where you'd be hiding a hot water bottle under your oversized coat.

My Nana W was in hospital when this song was released, I think I was Seven or Eight. Most of the family from my dads side were sitting in the visiting room with Nana on Christmas day, and my cousin Sara was rapping this song, being encoureged by her mum and dad. It's a fond memory, but such a bad song. Eek!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Kick in the Head

Saturday Morning my friend and I were texting back and fourth about train prices. I was absolutely determined that I would be travelling to Manchester via train, and not via bus. But she was determined to go via bus because it was £14 pounds cheaper. She's a cheapskate quite obviously. There isn't much £14 pounds could buy you these days.

We texted back and fourth like this for a good hour while I was on my way to the ticket office to buy the train tickets. Like I said, I was determined to use the train. I wasn't going to spend four hours on a bus when the journey could be halved by train.

I got to the ticket office, my phone was beeping, I was ignoring it. I gave the man behind the desk details of when I'd like to travel and he said.... "Oh, there are engineering works on the tracks that day so you would have to take the bus."

Ain't that a kick in the head?
I suppose I saved £14 pounds.

Take You Back Tuesday #1

Thought I'd try one of those things that people sometimes do every week where they have one subject they post about on a particular day. And after spending an evening with my old school friend, Katie, recently, reminiscing about the school days and the silly songs we thought were fantastic at the time. I realised that there were actually a lot of songs that I associate with particular moments in my life. For instance, the video I'm about to post is of a song from the 80's. I was two or three years old and I used to put the video tape into the VCR and dance around the living room, copying the people in the music videos.

I still have the video tape, and I still know all of the words to this song.

Group: Amazulu
Song: Excitable

.... yep, three year old me, getting my boogie on.
Good times.

Three for Two

This week I think I have lost at least two whole hours of my life trying to find a hotel room, for one night, in Manchester. The problem was that I wanted a room for three adults, but hotels don't accommodate three adults, only two adults and a child. I suppose the third member of our party is small enough that she would take up about as much room as a child, but that doesn't factor into a hotels handbook.

Anyway, we've taken to booking one double room for the three of us and are going to sneak one of us in.

Naughty!

Why do we even need a hotel room, you ask?

Because we are going to see Tegan and Sara live in concert, I say.

Pure Excitement!
